The Secretary to Rivers State Government, Dr Tammy Danagogo, has affirmed that Rivers State is a positive and ready destination for investors willing to trade in the African continent.
The Secretary to the State Government said this while conferring with the Mayor of Blanco, Texas, United States of America (USA), Mike Arnold, in his office on Monday, when the mayor paid him a courtesy call in Port Harcourt.
Danagogo urged the Mayor to also explore avenues for greater collaboration and partnership.
He intimated the Mayor that Rivers State Government is working round the clock to allay the effects of flood on affected communities in the State as he further called on public spirited organisations, NGOs and individuals to collaborate with the Rivers State Flood Prevention and Management Committee, chaired by the Deputy Governor, Prof Ngozi Ordu, to mitigate flood risks, enhance community resilience and enlightenment for the affected communities across the State.
The Mayor of Blanco Texas, USA, Mike Arnold, said he came with his team to attend a conference by Arise Africa International in Port Harcourt, expressing the believes that Nigeria has great potential to advance with the right leadership.
Arnold commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for the noticeable developmental strides in less than 2 years in office.
The meeting was also attended by the Rivers State Head of Service, Dr. George Nwaeke, mni and the Commissioner for Youths Development, Dr. Chisom Gbali.
